Chicos (kids)

Workflow: Blender, Photoshop/Substance Painter, Unreal Engine

The Instructions: create a modern living room with some contemporary look for a young latino family.

Process: Inspiration from around the web.

Concept: I stitched the images in Photoshop and tried to create the desired look and feel. I used AI as a low-resolution comparison for the final image. After stitching the images together, I asked AI to enhance the overall coherence of the image.

Versions: At every iteration, we’ve been testing the LED wall. Initially, it was just used to block out the structure. The set design team, the customer, and the production personnel collaborate to create the best possible set.

The Set: The requirement was to create an illusion of a young family residing in this setting. Bright and neutral colors were employed to achieve this effect. Additionally, the foreground pillars add depth to the overall composition, resulting in a successful set.

A Behind The Scene: Just some shots from behind the scene.

Blender and Unreal Engine: Most of the time, The Unreal Engine is used for the heavy lifting. If necessary, some basic structures are created in Blender, and I also do some more complex modeling, texturing, and baking. As mentioned earlier, the blockout was a basic setup. However, a lot of customization was used in this set to make it not only a young family, but also to incorporate some Latino elements. :)
