Kids Xpress

Workflow: Blender, Photoshop/Substance Painter, Unreal Engine

The Instructions: A young children’s learning center, bursting with vibrant colors and a lively atmosphere.

Process: Inspiration comes from Pinterest, and other sites.

Concept: Tweaking the images in Photoshop to achieve the desired look and feel, while utilizing AI to fill in the gaps for the concept. For concept work, we leverage AI to generate ideas, and the final image may undergo minor “touch-ups” to avoid unnecessary rendering.

Versions: Every iteration, we’ve been testing the LED wall. The set design team, the customer, and the production personnel collaborate to create the best possible set. We went through numerous versions of this one because it was an important regular flagship program for the kids’ network.

Set Design: This set had to be vibrant and visually appealing. The props and furniture had to complement the overall style and ambiance of the program. Given its large and consistent nature, it was crucial to ensure that the set was meticulously crafted and executed.

Unreal Engine: Most of the time, The Unreal Engine is used for the heavy lifting. If needed, some basic structures are created in Blender, and I will also do some more complex modeling, texturing, and baking. However, due to time constraints, we try to use as much scan data as possible. The final stitching is done at times in Photoshop.
